| Group Visits to The
Bowerley |
|
The Bowerley is a great place to host larger groups
of up to 50 people. We regularly accommodate parties
of walkers and cyclists who come to the Yorkshire
Dales to enjoy the beauty and variety of the
countryside and its many attractions. The renowned
Three Peaks charity events are held regularly and
Langcliffe is a convenient point from which to start
the challenge.
The cottages and
apartments are designed
to accommodate smaller individual groups of 4 to 10
persons in family units or friends sharing and all
are fully self-contained and equipped for
self-catering service. A
B&B unit is available for individuals and
couples who do not need a larger apartment or who
are staying for only one or two days.
The extensive private grounds which form part of the
complex are ideal for relaxing in and enjoying time
with friends. There is space for barbecues and games
and plenty of parking-space. A meeting room is
available in Langcliffe village centre for groups
that require facilities for either educational
activities or recreational events and meetings.
The Bowerley enjoys a truly rural location and yet
is only 15 minutes walk from the centre of the
bustling market town of Settle with its shops,
supermarket, pubs and restaurants. A market is held
each Tuesday in the town square and there is a
regular farmer’s market every other Sunday. It
really is an ideal place for individuals, families
and groups to appreciate the splendour beauty and
charm that is The Yorkshire Dales.
We especially welcome visiting groups from
Europe and elsewhere who wish to use the Bowerley as
a base from which to explore English life and it’s
language, Cultural activities can be arranged to
suit all tastes, and language tuition can be
provided by highly qualified teachers for intensive
small group and one to one courses to informal
activity based experiences for larger groups. Guided
local walks and accompanied visits can be provided
to many of the cultural and historic centres that
portray the unique contribution made by the County
of Yorkshire and its people to the long history of
Great Britain. Within one hour’s drive of the
Bowerley is the breathtaking beauty of Cumbria and
The Lake District which has long provided
inspiration for some of our best known artists,
poets and authors.
You can be sure of a truly warm Yorkshire welcome at
The Bowerley. |
